Bedfordshire Talking Therapies – Domestic Abuse Counselling and Therapeutic Support

*For those living in supported accommodation*

Service for those 18 years plus. Qualified, trauma-informed counsellors will provide 1:1 and group therapy to all adults on an outreach basis.

The support is for any risk level, and includes adults living in refuge accommodation.

To be eligible, people must be:

  • residing in accommodation that is self-contained, or if shared, single gendered accommodation, and;
  • receiving specialist domestic abuse support, via, for example, refuge (adults only), CBC Domestic Abuse Advisors, IDVA’s, DART (domestic abuse resettlement team), Flexible Funding, Bobby scheme.

Referral routes into service (professionals, self)

Referrals can be made to Bedfordshire Talking Therapies. Self-referrals are also accepted but it must be made clear at the point of referral that the purpose of the referral is to access the Domestic Abuse Counselling Service within Bedfordshire Talking Therapies
