Victim Support Domestic Abuse Support Services (DASS)

Victim Support is a national charity to help anyone affected by crime, including their friends, family and any other people involved. They provide free and confidential support 24 hours a day for people affected by crime and traumatic events – regardless of if the crime has been reported to the police.

 

DASS offers specialist outreach Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) support for anyone over 16 years of age, at medium or standard risk from domestic abuse; regardless of gender, sexuality, race, religion, ability or background, to help them keep themselves and their children safe and to support them to move on and recover from the abuse. Service hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Providing risk assessment, safety planning, emotional and practical support, advice and guidance with a range of issues and signposting or referral to other support services. Referral is via referral form which can be accessed at this link DASS Referral Form – Blank.
