Domestic Abuse Helpline

24 hour domestic abuse helpline

Support for those affected by 'honour' based abuse & violence, forced marriage and FGM

If 'honour' based abuse or violence is suspected, it should be reported to the Police in order to protect the victim.

There is a mandatory reporting duty for health care staff, social care staff and teachers to report FGM to the police on 101 or the local authority Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub.

If the victim is a young person, under 18, a referral to the MASH would be appropriate on 0300 300 8585 (option 3) or via email, earlyhelp@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk.
