Jewish Women’s Aid is the only specialist organisation in the UK supporting Jewish women and children affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence, offering practical and emotional support.

They support Jewish women and girls aged 16+ (14+ in London) and have a full time support worker dedicated to working with young women aged 14-24. Their team hold accreditations from Safe Lives and Women’s Aid.

Assistance on offer includes safety information, access to therapy services, ‘Get’ refusal and forced marriage advice, children’s therapy and parenting resources, advice on Jewish religious law and legal advice.

Their helpline number is open 9:30am – 9:30pm, Monday to Thursday (excluding Jewish holidays and bank holidays). Outside of these hours, the calls are recorded, monitored and responded to as soon as possible. It is free to call from all landlines and mobiles and the number will not show up on your phone bill.

They also offer the Dina Support Line for women aged 16+ who have experienced sexual violence on 0808 801 0656. This is available 10am – 12noon and 1pm – 3pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, then 1pm – 3pm on Thursdays or they can be emailed at dina@jwa.org.uk
