Own My Life is a 10 week course that supports women in regaining ownership of their lives after being subjected to abuse or violence by a partner. The course looks at ways of regaining control and moving on to happy and healthy lives and relationships. As this is currently being run via Zoom women will need to be able to access the course from a safe place.

We look at ways of regaining control of our lives and moving on to happy and healthy lives and relationships. This includes regaining ownership of our:

Home-Start Central Bedfordshire is a registered charity and one of the leading voluntary non-profit organisations in the area. For more than 30 years we have been improving the lives of thousands of local families because we believe every child deserves the best start in life. Many vulnerable families are referred to us each year in need of help and our waiting list is growing.

Our crucial support is often given through our volunteer home visiting service. In addition, we run regular support and prevention groups for women suffering from mental ill health and domestic violence or abuse.

We always aim to help families with young children get through hardship and back on their feet; providing support until they no longer need us. As a result, Home-Start benefits the entire community through our child and family support services. Find out more about our current projects in our charity news blog.
