Women’s Aid Luton
Women’s Aid in Luton is a voluntary organisation supporting women and children affected by domestic abuse and other forms of gender‑based violence. Services are available to women and children from all backgrounds and circumstances.
Support ranges from offering a safe, non‑judgemental listening ear to providing comprehensive practical and emotional support to help women leave safely and rebuild their lives. This includes a confidential helpline, and refuge accommodation for women and their children who need a temporary place of safety.
Women’s Aid in Luton offers information, guidance, emotional support, and practical assistance, enabling women to have the time and space they need to make informed decisions and plan for the future. Refuge services provide access to peer support, one‑to‑one sessions with trained staff, education opportunities, and legal advice.
Children’s services are a vital part of the organisation’s work. Skilled and trained children’s support workers help children living in refuge to process their experiences and support their emotional recovery.
In addition to direct services, Women’s Aid in Luton is committed to raising awareness of domestic abuse and its impact within the wider community.
